On Monday, June 23, 2008 Mulligan's Island will hold the 4th Annual Phred's Drug Mini Golf Charity Classic to benefit The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation here in Rhode Island. The event is in memory of tournament founder Mike Rossi. Last year over 200 golfers came out to enjoy a night of food, comedy, fun, and of course mini golf!

The Master of Ceremony for the evening, Kevin Sullivan from MIXED NUTS: an interactive cabaret, keeps everyone on their toes and makes sure there is NO CHEATING. This years winning team will walk away with "The Mikey Trophy" or "The Mel Trophy" and a ton of bragging rights.

Check-In 5:00pm-5:30pm Opening Ceremonies 5:35pm Mini Golf Tournament Begins (1st Shotgun) 5:50pm Pitch & Putt Short Course Tournament Begins 6:15pm Mini Golf Tournament Continues (2nd Shotgun) 7:15pm Awards Ceremonies 8:30pm

Dinner for the event will be served throughout the night from 6pm - 8pm.

Throughout the night we will have raffles, entertainment, comedy, music, magic, carnival activities, auctions, and much more!

The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation

The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation was established in 2004 in memory of our mom and in honor of her courageous fight against breast cancer. Our objectives are to raise awareness, increase education, and generate funding for critical breast health programs that are in desperate need of being brought to fruition. Our mission is to help local breast cancer organizations in their fight to raise breast cancer awareness, to work for its prevention, and to bring comfort and help to patients and families in our community. Our promise is that 100% of the net proceeds will remain right here in our local community. We recognize breast self examination as a critical tool in the fight against breast cancer. We also recognize all of the breast health care providers as essential partners in the war against this disease. On Monday, June 19, 2006 Mulligan's Island held the 2nd Annual Phred's Drug Mini Golf Charity Classic to benefit Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island. The event was in memory of tournament founder Mike Rossi who suddenly passed away last year. Over 200 golfers came out to enjoy a night of food, fun, and of course mini golf!

The Master of Ceremony for the evening, Kevin Sullivan from MIXED NUTS: an interactive cabaret, kept everyone on their toes and made sure there was NO CHEATING. This years winning team got to walk away with "The Mikey Trophy", and a ton of bragging rights.

The night started with a spectacular site, as the WPRI 12 Chopper landed on the Mulligan's Island Driving Range. Between shotguns everyone got to enjoy a delicious "backyard BBQ", listen to music, and take part in a live broadcast from our friends at B101. It was a picture perfect evening here at the island.

We would like to thank our sponsors: Phred's Drug, Superior Bakery, Ruggeri's Market, B101, WPRI 12, Cardi's Furniture, and especially of you those who came out to support a great cause. Together we raised over $5,000.00 for Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island.
